In April 2016, a Twitter user @princessofwifi posted the original Image which showed someone wanting to sleep and ending up sleeping late. The tweet gained 1,417 retweets and over 1,900 likes. Also, the image became popular on Reddit.

this meme is an image showing people consuming beers with some male friends. The meme also highlights images that depict drinking, friendship and larrikinism. Cracking Open a Cold One with the Boys was first launched on a Facebook page in February 2015, and within two years it has spread like wide fire, with over 102, 000 likes.

The phrase ‘living in 3017’ was created by a Twitter user with the hashtag @MyFavsTrash on May 9, 2017. He posted a photo of a full box of Reese Puffs with a hole cut on the top and milk being poured into it. The phrase is used to illustrate a picture of someone showing a different pattern of thinking in solving boring problems. The tweet immediately got about 18,000 retweets and 41,000 likes on Twitter. Twitter even described tweets related to Living in 3017 as “when you’re too advanced for this millennium.”
7. Trump First Order of Business
This meme is a Photoshop image that was created based on the video clip of President Donald Trump of the United States displaying an open folder which shows his signature. The meme was first created on January 23rd, 2017 when Trump signed several executive orders that include a memorandum for the United States to leave the controversial Trans-Pacific Partnership free trade agreement. After signing the executive order, Reddit created an animated image of President Trump holding a Dickbutt illustration. This image spread very fast that within 48 hours it got over 251, 271 votes and more than 300 comments.
This movie which is an adaptation of Stephen King’s novel was released in March, has been turned into a hilarious meme. The meme shows Pennywise the dancing clown inability to convince people to come to the sewer until a child crawls into the gutter. The meme became viral in September 2017 when the movie hit the theater. Since that time, internet users have created various types of caricature images make Pennywise memes.
5. The Snapchat Hot Dog
The snapshot hotdog is used to illustrate a feature on Snapchat which enables users to add a dancing hot dog to their videos. The hot dog was first posted on YouTube on June 23rd, 2017; this was closely followed by people uploading immediately videos that feature the dancing hot dogs on Instagram and YouTube. One of the most popular videos was uploaded on June 25th by Samantha Reilly; the video showed the hot dog dancing on her sleeping cat. Later, the dancing hot dog also appeared on photoshopped jokes on Reddit.
4. Cash Me Ousside / How Bow Dah
This is a quote by Danielle Bregoli, a 13 year old girl who appeared on Dr. Phil Show and challenged the audience watching the show and laughing at her to a fight using the phrase “Catch me outside, how about that?” Since the video clip was uploaded by Dr. Phil on his Youtube Channel; the clip has been mocked using different captions and images. However, the phrase became a popular meme in early 2017, when Facebook meme page posted the joke using a screenshot from Dr. Phil Clip; the post received 75,000 shares and 14,000 likes within one week.
3. Distracted Boyfriend
The Distracted Boyfriend is an image taken by photographer Antonio Guillem and posted on iStock database. The photo shows a man who was later identified as Phil Collins staring at another woman’s backside why his romantic partner looks in disappointment. The photo started spreading all over the social media platforms in February 2017, when an Instagram user @_dekhbai posted the picture and wrote a caption that reads. “Tag That Friend Who Falls in Love Every Month.” The meme immediately gained 28,500 likes within two hours.
2. The Ting Goes
The Ting Goes is a video by English comedian Michael Dapaah from his series #SWIL which shows Dapaah a character that acted like MC Quakez reciting the verse of the song “Man’s Not Hot.” When he said the line “The ting goes,” he also made sound effects with his mouth. Within a week of which the video was uploaded on YouTude, it had 500,000 views. The video also gained more than 2,300 retweets and 5,000 likes when Micheal Dapaah posted the clip on Twitter.

Shooting Star is a song released by Bag Raiders of Australia in 2008; the song was re-released in 2009 as a stand-alone single and later appeared as a remix video. In 2010, the song was included on their self-titled album. After Australia’s got talent used the song in 2013, it had 13 million views on Youtube. The song was first used as a Meme by Glaceygirl who uploaded a crude animation on YouTube in December 2015. In January 2017, the meme became very popular when it was paired with a video of an overweight man diving. The video had 530,000 views on the first day of its release.
